Wonder if this is her, might explain why I can't see her on the 1871 census, looks like she and baby died shortly after his birth:

Sorry, but I can't see an earlier baptism for a child to Thomas and Priscilla though - well not in the Manchester records.

AND - what on earth happened to the original couple we were looking for - Charles and Mary???

Those 2 are proving much harder nuts to crack. Thanks for all the help with Priscilla, sooooooooooo glad we appear to have cracked that mystery.

This is pure speculation, as no ages were given at death, but there is this one:

Although I'm not even sure if the death cert would give an age or anything to corroborate it.

According to Lancashirebmd the death for Charles just posted states he was 54, of London Road district, so a possibility, might be worth checking for this one in 1851, even if just to eliminate him:

Not sure, but the 1851 census stated she was born in Prestbury (although Reggie posted FMP which was transcribed as Macclesfield). You need to check out who John and Amelia are and how they could fit in.

I'm going to PM you the original, because I'm pretty sure it does not say Unsworth - looks more like Hounsworth to me. But see what you think. It actually says John and Amelia are her son/daughter, but I wonder?
