Ultimus is the Latin for "last" and Gulielmus the Latin for William. |

Thanks everyone. I have now printed out this info so do I leave this thread or delete it & start a new one later ? Ultimus meaning Last in Latin makes sense as mother was then 44 so she probably thought That's it ! No more ! |

Why is it I cannot find a Kinvig family in the 1901 Isle of Man census ? I already have the info but I want to check one person & I can get nothing on GR. Ann 44, Herbert 20, John 13 & the person I want to check - a 4 year old boy John Clugstone who was 'adopted' by Ann Kinvig. I would like to find out if it said 'adopted' & then find him on the 1911 census. I have this family on my CD rom but why can I not get it on this site ? Thanks |

GR isn't the best place to do research. They don't have any records of their own.......all are taken from other sources |

Thanks. I wonder if John Herbert Clugston(e) took the name Kinvig from his adopted family for the 1911 census. I thought GR would be a good site but obviously Ancestry sounds more informative. |
