Hi Gins,
Yes they did end up here in Australia,I have my great grandmother Annie Louisa Armstrong's marriage certificate and yes it has Louisa Bertram and you have Battram and on her death certificate it has Venables. So you can see why I needed help I'm still lost,I guess the birth certificate which Battram on it I think must be the right name for Louisa.
Now I have been told about Harry and I was also told about a sister named Alice but the only Alice I can find was born in Queensland Australia.
Alice's Marriage certificate had no last name for her mother Louisa ?? and her death certificate has Henry Armstrong as the father and mother as Maria Black.
I am so confused with this family.

The only marriages I have are of my great gran Annie Louisa Armstrong 30 july 1902 Australia and of Alice Ethel Armstrong 25 January 1902 Australia who I was told by family that was her sister,Annie had her mother as Louisa Bertram and Alice just had Louisa (no name) but they both had her occupation as a hairdresser.
I don't have any marriage certificates for 1877.

There is no birth in England for Alice Ethel between 1881 - 1891, Im presuming they left for Australia at some point in that period as they dont appear on the 1891 UK census

I also cant find a birth for Alice in Australia? Could she have been born at sea?
