Thomas GLADWIN c1844-1846 help to find refs plse

Please can anyone help find a birth for Thomas GLADWIN born roughly 1844-1846 according to censuses. On his RM records he gives his birth as 3 April 1844 Burton upon Trent. |

The familysearch entry is only a submitted one , not extracted from parish records so ttreat with caution. |

Pretty certain he was born Gladwin, from his marriage cert his father was also Thomas Gladwin R Marine like him. In 1861 he is on board ship, in the remainder he is with his wife Margaret Julia and his family. He is missing in the 1851, He may have been in Ireland as we think his father came from wexford. |

Yes, that is him. I don't know but they often made mistakes and Littleover is not very far from Upton. Maybe he was born in Upton and they actually lived in Littleover. |

Although I have had a lot of help from Mike, Neither of us have come up with the refs to enable me to get a birth certificate. Derek did say that he had the records to follow up what he'd found so i am wondering if he also had the refs. I am adding to this in the hope that Derek may find time to emerge fro Derbyshire and tell me what he has. Thanks derek if you have time. |
