hi i have drawn a blank again trying to trace my great grand mother and great grandfather emma born in coleshill warwickshire 1853 been onto warwickshire and they have no records of her birth or marriage also been onto guisborough where samuel was born 1845 they have no records of birth or marriage like wise their sons james and samuel and daughter helenor all born in guisborough i have wild guessed their marriage for 1870 and there is no record anywhere can anyone help me cheers regards malcolm

Have you got a birth cert for one of the children? This would give her maiden name.

and how did you come by it ?
Also, where does your info come from re : place of birth ?

sorry no i cannot find out any info they do not seem to exist on any records in middlebrough/guisborough

Also Samuel appears to be born Middlesborough and Helenor in Sussex ...not Guisborough !

Which one of their children is your grandmother/grandfather? You need to buy that birth cert and Emma's maiden name will be listed.

i have records for samuel gun [should be gunn ] 1881 census living in surrey with wife emma [1853] born in coleshill warwickshire sons james 1871 samuel 1879 born in middlesbrough [ helenor 1881 born horested keynes sussex]
in the 1891 census samuel is married to a harriet and two step children edith and alfred his sons are samuel 1875 james 1873 [a few years age differance born in guisborough [ cloe to middlesbrough and they live in gravesend kent, there is no sign of emma and helenor

can anyone shed a light on my last post ?

hi mike p cannot find any birth certificate for any of the family names mentioned telephoned record offices they do not exist on their data base the info i got from mariecelesre was my g.g.father james was killed at sea in 1898 i am at a loss the surmames for edith and alfred don`t know but no relation as is harriet again cannot find a marriage cert for them did samuel divorse emma or did she die ? regards
