Just had a quick peek and found that the Tibetot daughters were named Margaret, Millicent and Elizabeth - so thanks for directing me to this site, Ann Cardiff.
I guess Eva was Eva le Scrope after all, then, maybe named after the Tibetot girls' mother as the two families appear to have been close. Although that's just a shot in the dark, of course.
Thank you so much for your help and night night for now.

Don't know where the money and honours went though, Ann Cardiff.
There's a lot of fanciful stuff on some family trees - that's why I go for official proof.
However, I've seen a couple of family wills for the Harland and Deighton lines of my family and the best thing about them is that not only the sons inherited. The daughters got their fair share too (as did education of a couple of poor children in Durham) which made me mightily proud that even in the 1700s some of my ancestors believed in equal rights. This also probably explains why there's nothing left - no eldest son inherited the lot.
In fact 99% of the facts I've uncovered about Dad's side (and they were by no means all wealthy and blue-blooded) have been good and, certainly, I've found brothers bringing up each other's children where mothers have died (and even friends' children) - the men seemed to have quite a nurturing side to them, which my Dad inherited.
On the other hand, Mum's side ........ oh, poor Mum and her parents!
That's life - you can't pick your ancestors.

Thank you, AnnCardiff.
The Tibetot-le Scrope marriage confirms historical records when le Scrope senior married two of the Tibetot daughters under his guardianship to his sons. I think the other son who married a Tibetot was Geoffrey le Scrope but I don't know what the Tibetot girl's Christian name was.
Le Scrope senior had guardianship of three Tibetot daughters according to historical records.
However, perhaps Eva le Scrope who married Henry de Dyghton was a le Scrope after all.
Northallerton I'm on my way to check records.

To add mud to the water:
Nobody's come up with definite proof of Eva's parentage and I've discovered that Richard le Scrope became the guardian of three Tibetot girls upon the death of their parents. Their parents or grandparents were Sir Robert Tibetot and his wife Eva (de) Chaworth - so the Eva rings a bell.
Richard married two of the girls off to two of his sons but the only name I can find is Margaret so I don't know whether there was an Eva Tibetot or not.
So is there proof of either Richard or Geoffrey le Scrope being Eva's father or was he a Tibetot?
(I think I'll have to visit Northallerton Records Office where the meticulous le Scrope family records are kept.)

Thank you everyone. I apologize for not getting onto the site sooner but I've had one grandchild staying Saturday and another Sunday night. I've now handed them back and I'm free!
AnnCardiff: thanks for the official source (deed 1362 (YAJ 39)). This kind of thing and British Library MSS (officialdom, I know) is exactly what I was after for proof. By the way, what are AFN numbers?
Can anyone tell me how factual the information on RootsWeb is? I'm asking because there's quite a bit on the de la Pole side into Wales, too.
I know that the le Scrope family kept really good records. Apart from a small section burned in a fire, the majority are kept in Northallerton Records Office. Has anyone checked these or got official old documents by any chance?
A distant cousin has copies of wills and has checked with Durham Records Office and the University Archives where a lot of family information is kept on Harlands (de Dyghton descendants) so perhaps I should visit Northallerton and put my two-pennorth in properly.
