I have drawn a blank in the search for Violet Bunting born 1864 at Newfield, Auckland, Durham, after the 1881 Census in Durham where she is listed as the daughter of Robert and Jane Bunting. In the 1971 Census she is listed as Violetta Bunting. |

I think you can be fairly sure that Violet or Violetta was the daughter of Robert and Jane of Newfield Co Durham...... |

Derek, how can you be sure? If the dates on the 1881 are anything to go by, Jane would have been nearly 50 when she had Violet. |

Perhaps it might be necessary to get the birth certificate to find Violet's parentage? |

I found the same info as you, Londonbelle and Choccy but can you find anything after 1881 for Violet/Violetta? |

There are two people on Ancestry that have this family but you cannot see them as they are private trees. |

Thanks, MarieCeleste. I've traced this Violetta Priestly and Ben Clough but Violetta is with her parents in Yorkshire in 1881 so no joy there. |
