I am interested in further information on John Falconer born 1893 Cork was the son of Mary Collins born Cork and Patrick Falconer born Waterford. He went on a ship called 'Campania' from Queenstown to New York Port in 1912. He married someone called 'axa' who was born in New York (maiden name unknown) dob possibly 1891. They had 2 children Frances 1918 born Wayne Michigan and Margaret Falconer born 1916 Wayne Michigan. I have found them on the 1930 census . On the 1920 census it looks like the two girls were staying with the 'le Croy' family but I couldnt trace the whereabouts of their parents. Help would be appreciated finding axa's maiden name and their marriage details. Further information on Margaret and Frances would be appreciated also. Thank you for considering this. Kind regards Karen

Thank you for looking into this for me Ann of Green Gables.
I had found the 1930 census and assumed that Axa was the mother of Margaret and Francis but if he was a widower in 1920 as your research shows their mother must have died which would explain possibly why the girls were being looked after by another family in 1920.
How can I find out who their mother was? Thank you again for your help with this. Kind regards
Karen

In addition to the death Ann posted there is this:
Social Security Death Index

I notice the birth year is a little later, but Wayne has been mentioned in the census.

?? U.S. Naturalization Records Indexes, 1794-1995
Name: John Falconer Birth Date: 17 Aug 1894 State: Michigan Locality, Court: Detroit, District Court
There is a number 118422 PET (don't know what it is) and 9-7-38 which I'm guessing might be the date of naturalisation?

I have shown the info you have provided to Violet she is the daughter of John's sister Margaret.
She had Detroit in her notes but cannot remember anything else. I promised to help her as she does not have internet access and does not have any contact with her cousins.
So finding Detroit is reassuring. The only thing she said was Margaret Falconer may have gone by the name of Mary as this was common in her family to change between the two!
I dont have anything else to add Im afraid.

Is there a US census that we can access before 1916 as hopefully she may still be living with her mum and dad ? She may be the daughter that is missing from the 1920 list. I know clutching at straws but my entire tree is built of straws!!! :-)

And here's possible WW1:
World War I Draft Registration Cards, 1917-1918
Name: John Patrick Falconer City: Chicago County: Cook State: Illinois Birthplace: Ireland Birth Date: 17 Aug 1894 Race: Caucasian (White) FHL Roll Number: 1493580 DraftBoard: 29
He was a Mail Order Clerk. Was married (no name) and it's hard to make out if it said "no" or "two" children.
His address was 3435 Fillmore Street, Chicago.
I don't know where the Patrick came from but there can't be two chaps with the same name and dob (can there?)
