Dont know if this info is any good to you but I've had a look on my discs for children of William & Ellen and found those christenings, William is down as a Labourer on all of them:

St Marys Worksop:
6 Aug 1854 Ann Elizabeth abode Low Town Worksop
Joseph John 12 March 1857 abode Sparkin Hill

Bothamsall Church:
6 Sept 1857 Frederick Henry
22 May 1859 George
8 Dec 1861 William
13 March 1864 Emily
10 Dec 1865 John abode for all those is Hardwick

St Lukes Church Shireoaks
11 Sept 1870 Ellen abode Hardwick

Back to St Marys Worksop:
14 Jan 1872 Arthur abode Hardwick.

1881 census has Ellen as a Widow living in Clarbourogh with Annie Elizabeth 26yrs, Ellen 10yrs and Arthur 9yrs.

Burial for William Pashley aged 42yrs St Marys Worksop 22 Nov 1876.

Thank you so much for the above info. I was going to ask if you'd take a look for baptisms for their children but with you not being very well didn't like to.

I have found what I think is William's baptism on 8/9/1833, parents Joseph and Mary. As he named his eldest son Joseph it looks very promising and hopefully when you see Williams marriage record it will confirm that Joseph was his father.

William Pashley aged 21yrs a Labourer of Clumber father Joseph Pashley a Labourer.
Ellen Gott full age of Clumber father David Gott a Labourer
witnesses (not sure of this first name) Sherard Lamb and Mary Ann Pashley.

If you what a copy of the marriage let me know and I'll get it next time I'mkin the archives.

I wonder if on your next Notts archive visit you could check a marriage for me. In June qtr 1920 Alfred Herring married Edith Bentley. They both lived in 1911 in Nelson Rd Daybrook. Also in that same qtr Mary J Herring died. it is suspected that Alfred, who was Mary's widower , then immediately married Edith who was 25 yrs younger! If the record says who Alfred's father is then that would answer our suspicions. The family used to use the church at Arnold pre 1911 although Daybrook might have been nearer. if you can find the marriage and burial easily, that would be wonderful.

Wendy m'duck.........I know most of the story, and i could probably go to Notts Archives myself if i weren't so lazy..but would be grateful, yet again, for your help....

Robert Goodwin married Florence Walker June Qtr 1892 Basford District...I know all about the weirdness of the Basford District.but this really was Basford...Old Basford.
If it was a Church wedding it was probably either St Aidan or St Leodegarius.and of course it may have been \register Office.

The couple and theri children lived in Old Basford on successive Censuses..He from Kenton Norfolk, and she from lenton Nott'm..would be nice to just tidy it up with date and place.

May I impose on your generosity and ask for a baptism lookup for Thomas Harvey c1768 in Granby, I believe, and for his wife Anne Widdowson c1768, probably in Kneeton.

They married in Kneeton 26 Nov. 1793, but I haven't thus far been able to trace either of them prior to that.

Anything you can find will be much appreciated

Hello Wendy, I rang Nottinghamshire Archives today and was told

We have checked our various indexes and wills and have found the following reference to George Ince within the index to wills proved at the Prerogative Court of York.

Ince, George, stone cutter of Mansfield; will registered 20 Jun 1812
could you take a look at it for me to see if it says who inherited from him please.
They have said that I should be able to get a full copy from Wakefield, I don't need the will, just trying to find where my Gx3 Grandmother got her wealth.

Yes I'll have a look for you but as the full Will is at the Prerogative Court of York Nottingham archives wont have the full Will but just part of it and may not tell you who was mentioned in it but will see what we find.
