Omg So Should I be a Miller and not Swift!! Thats fantastic, what a find! Thank you!!!

I wonder why? Think I might have to sub to Ancestry as have info on there, did not know about London baptisms etc have not been on this site for awhile.

Well we don't really know do we!!!! HE HE. Perhaps you never will........................I wonder if David's mother married a Miller.

The next thing I am looking at is this Susan Nixon 1849 but not having much luck.

On the marriage of David and Eliza I think her father was down as John Nixon.

I keep flipping from one to another of the family members and getting in a muddle!!

Yes her father was John Nixon according to their marriage in 1881. They must of been hiding something to go from Millers to Swift/Nixon and her being his housekeeper.

I am just looking up George Tanner and his wife Caroline.

She was also born in Chesham Bucks!! David also had a child called Caroline?? George and Caroline were the witnesses at David and Eliza marriage. On the 1881 census they have children by the name of Charles and Matilda Johnson!!

I did think that Caroline Tanner was David's sister but couldn't find any trace. I have just found on the IGI for Chesham marriages, Maria Swift to JAS. Miller 31 AUG 1828 Chesham!!

That sounds promissing.

I can't find the 1881 family of Tanners on the next census or any other census.

Perhaps they changed their name too!! Thanks for looking!

There is a tree on Ancestry with Caroline Swift 1832ish as his sister.

Also his death is on there and all the children of his and Eliza Nixon.

It was cheaper to have more than one child baptised.
