I think the best thing will be to order the birth certificate of Lilian who was born in 1907 - it may be possible that she is the child of Sarah Ann (nee Cox) and James Alfred Sadler. |

I think the one I need to find out about is Lilian Agnes Sadler, whose birth is registered in Windsor in the 3rd quarter 1907. |

There's a Lilian Amy Sadler born Berkshire in 1911 with a family of Winchesters. Don't have access so I can't see the details. Can't seem to find a birth on FreeBMD for her. |

Hi - that's him, he was a year older than my nan, she was born 1886, so that would make him born 1885 . |

Sorry-I'm in the middle of throwing dinner at OH. I still don't see James in 1911. I wonder if he emigrated or something. |

it's really strange that there are no records for James after 1907, and that by 1912 my nan was a widow - just thought she met my grandad and had my aunt out of wedlock (what a lovely old fashioned word!!) they then got married in 1915 (why the three year wait if she was a widow?) and then they had my dad in 1920 (who is nearly 91!!) |
