you might find a baptism but the actual birth certificate has to be purchased (GRO Southport £9 25) |

cant you find birth on freebmd on fishe u only get name dont get exact date or parents them details you.will only get when u get certificate fron reg office or through gro |

If you are lookiong for parents, might be possible to find family in 1911 census if you post all the details. Depends how common the name is! |

aww such a shame...it was the birth of a child who was born in chorlton in 1906 and died in salford in 1908....i just needed the confirmation that she was my gt grand mothers daughter.... |

yes Flick.....thats how i discovered that my gt nan had two children who had died....fortunatley i found one one the children,after two failed certificates later....and money down the drain... |

I sent an email to the local register office when I wanted to just verify that a baby, whose birth and death registration was within a short time of each other, was a member of my family; the staff were very helpful and quick in sending confirmation. |

Try googling registration districts for chorlton and salford, their should, hopefully, be email addresses for register offices for both. |
