I don't know Michelle? I tried going through the ordering proccess myself but it's so complicated! I'm trying to find out stick with me for a mo'

I changed the delivery method from posted to view documents online I think?

I have confirmation that they are sending me an estimate

I think that means that they are not available online!

As I said it's not the easiest of websites to use!

Hi Cathy and Michelle

Sorry, I had to disappear and do some lunch.

I'm afraid I am of no use to you re. searching TNA.......I've never been
able to find a thing on there!! I thought it was just me, so I feel a bit
better now ;-)))

Mary

EDIT: Michelle - would you edit your post with the TNA site addy on as it's causing the posts to go off the page and making it hard to read? - don't delete the addy, just break it down into several parts and then the posts will be easy to read. Thanks :-)))))

Cathy

Cathy Report 14 Nov 2010 14:08

Right I have sent a message but I have no idea when or even if I will get a reply Michelle. It's so frustrating isn't it?

Michelle

Can you ask your mum if she ever remembers the names Lydia or Mary being mentioned?

There are a couple of marriages for Josiah John after 1921 and I'm wondering if your great grandfather (assuming we're on the right track here lol) re-married.

Strangely, I can't find a death or marriage for Vera W John. :-((

If you click on Edit on that particular post, your original message will come up on the next screen where you can edit it.........but I wouldn't worry too much now as we're on to the next page of this thread now. ;-))

Hi Mary,

No it's definately not just you!
Unfortunately i have to go out in a while but will get back to the thread as soon as possible and hopefully I might have a bit more info!
i have definately downloaded records the same day that i found them so I think if you get an estimate that means you can't download them instantly.

yes i will phone my mother now and ask her, yes most likely he would of remarried if his first wife died and i am positive my great grandfather was from London because my aunty marion said when was a young girl she went on the train to London to meet him only once and i am sure peckham rings a bell maybe he was orig from this area my great grandfather.

Yes it's so strange you cannot find death for Vera since you were able to find all the other records i wonder why x

Michelle

On your post on page 2 - the one with the www, addy for TNA records. If you click on edit on that post, you will be able to put spaces at various intervals in that addy which will break it down and stop it going off the page (or making the page so wide that you have to scroll side to side to read all the posts on that page).

If you do that and anyone wanting to copy and paste that addy will know to delete the spaces in their browser bar, so it's not a problem. :-))

Mary

EDIT: NO, don't delete the addy.......we might need it again! LOL

What year - roughly - would your aunty Marion have met him in London?
