I am helping an elderly lady with this tree cos Im sure that he is connected to me down the line. Have emailed her tonite to see if see can get another look at it. Thanks for all your efforts. will get back if I can get something more to go on. In the mean time Ill keep looking. Regards Jenny

Births Jun 1863 STEVENS Alfred William Uckfield 2b 107 Births Dec 1871 Stevens Julia Uckfield 2b 115 However there is an Alfred W Stevens born c 1864 Fletching, and a Julia Stevens born c1871 Fletching which is in the Uckfield district. So it is more likely to be them.

These are the Julias registered in those two quarters. I just can't find her. Johnson Edward C., Emma M. abt 1871 Brighton, Sussex, England Daughter Brighton, Sussex Births Mar 1871 Phillips Julia Brighton 2b 211 1871: Julia Phillips Henry, Mary abt 1870 Brighton, Sussex, England Daughter Brighton, Sussex Births Jun 1871 Hayls Elizabeth Julia Brighton 2b 184 Deaths Dec 1874 HAYLES Elizabeth Julia 3 Brighton 2b 147 Births Jun 1871 Jupp Julia Brighton 2b 241 Julia Jupp abt 1872 Brighton, Sussex, England Adopted Daughter Brighton, Sussex [I think she may be the daughter of Mary Jupp as they are working together in 1891 & 1901.] And no Julia death that fits. Stevie has given me the address of another relative will mail him and see if he has anything to add. He may have a marriage cert. You are going to so much trouble , thank you very much Regards Jenny
