Yes, Andrew. I posted that 1871 above. THAT is the Caroline who married Henry Webster, I believe. |

thank you all for all of your quick input, although I am still a little confused about who is who, I did feel that her third marriage to George Edwards three years after her second mrriage was a little quick, but who knows what went on then. |

right this marriage shows Caroline Webster father James Webster marrying Edwards a gardener |

Yes, RR. That 1881 mother and son are in the 1871, which makes that Caroline *not* the Caroline married to Brazendale who subsequently married Edwards. |

JaneyCanuck, my apologies for not responding as quickly as I would have liked, it is just that you have all given me so much to think about I am a little overawed by it all. In answer to your question yes there is a possibility that Abbot could have been misheard as Herbert, this is something that I am going to have to look into. |

I think unless you have something concrete B that Caroline Brazendale is not the same person as Caroline Webster ... |

It has nothing to do with "as quickly as I would have liked". |

Rose, I agree. Of the few Carolines the right age in Southwold, I had considered her -- and duh, didn't make the Major connection. |
