Thank you to everyone for your help with this. I have now requested copies of Arthurs marriage cert and Edward Williams birth cert and I think I will also send for a copy of Arthurs death cert to see why he died so young. My father never mentioned any of this so it is a fascinating discovery. Best wishes, John

Hello John,I hope you dont mind me asking I ahve just seen your request and i am researching my tree regarding an Eva Maud Speake who married a Cole.She was born in Marylebone area 1917 and died 2008.Her parents were Emily Williams and Walter Speake. I wonder could a Mr Cole have come from Marylebone area as well

Elaine - it may be better to start your own thread if you are seeking help.

The marriage certificate for Eva Maud Speake will give Mr Cole's name and occupation and also that of his father.
