Yes this is the family. Family thought that he might have been born Chingford. |

Yes this is Emily's marriage. Frank lived with them until his own marriage later in 1901 |

Just putting in Frank 1878 Chingford Essex came up with this.....although if or how to connect I wouldn't know: None for this name and yob & Chingford showing in 1891, 1901 or 1911. |

any ideas please on how I would follow up on Frank Hawkins? Like your idea about the first name being retained and only the surname changed. Is Kings Head Hill a house or institution as I note Annie Main is a midwife? |

Trying to think of possible connection between this Frank and Henderson or Emily. Certainly would not discount this young man. Any ideas about the premises please? |

Hi, b cert arrived today and feel confident you've found him. Fantastic. Thank you. Frank Dakin Hawkins b 6 - 3 1878..same month as my grandfather Frank McRae. Parents John Dakin Hawkins and Amelia Hawkins formerly Jahn. Could I bother you again please as I cannot find a birth for Amelia or marriage so cannot find her relationship to Emily Julia who brought Frank up. Any advice please? Thank you |

Do you suppose that Emily could be Amelia ? |
|||
|
Barbara | Report | 22 May 2010 16:40 |
Have considered that as cannot find an Amelia Jahn on Family Search or Freebmd but her entry on 1911 Census indicates she had not had any children and in 1881 Census she was living with her parents and family. Cannot find any record of Emily marrying Henderson McRae or of Amelia marrying John Hawkins |

Sorry visitors sleeping in computer room limiting access for next few days! Have found an Amelia Hawkins (24) d DecQ 1883 Pancras and Amelia Hawkins (0) d DecQ Islington1882 and another d DecQ 1883 Romford, should I send for all three certs? But if Amelia (24) only d 1883 why was Frank a boarder in 1881 Census? If Amelia wre Emily's cousin, Emily's father Frederick Jahn only arrived in UK from Prussia in about 1844 and I don't know if he had any brothers who came at the same time. Just thought this might be relevant. |
