Trying to establish whether the above is a family member. From bmd I see Albert Groombridge married Emily (Margaret) Ludford (registered in Mar. 1868) in Newington. Would be grateful if someone with access to London Parish Records could confirm that Albert's father was a Richard Groombridge, actual date of marriage etc. |

I'm sure your post about Nelly was not showing when I made my first reply. Only saw the one about Rosey- unless I'm going crazy! I had found the Ellen birth but had discounted it because of the date. Note what you say about Birth Certificate. |

Thanks for the info. Not the right one then. I've come across a John now and then but not sure if he fits into the family. Can remember talk of various family members but not a John so far as I can recall. |

Think they were on my original posting with deaths registered in the same quarter. Also a John (name of Martha's father) who also died young. Understandable - there were quite a lot of names. Do know that my grandmother had at least one set of twins that did not survive |

Was there a problem with Florence Amelia? or did you just miss it because I asked so much of you. I do feel bad sometimes requesting all this info but as a pensioner I cannot afford one of these subscriptions where you can get hold of everything. |

Sorry, just can't find Florence Amelia. I've tried all kinds of combinations even just using first names. No luck. |

OK. Understood. One of the only four of my father's siblings I knew - so I know she existed. Probably some sort of transcription error. I've found name transcribed as Greenbridge, Grumbridge, Grombridge and all sorts! |
