Astra, with Ada's marriage i have a problem here, you see Ada E Walker is my nan's sister Ada Horsted being my nan's mum. However on my nan's birth cert (1896) it states father as walter walker, on her marriage cert of 1920 it states father as James albert walker and in brackets deceased fishmonger. So im really confused as to which walker ada horsted settled with |

Scrap that. So you know that the parents of your Nan are correct. What was Nan's name and when was she born. I'm thinking that you have the wrong marriage cert.>>>>>>>Oh no you can't have because this is your Nan you're talking about. So the Ada born to Walter you think is the correct one. |

That would all make sense if we didn't have her as married or living with Walter in 1901. I can't locate either of them in 1911, |

Right just spoke to my dad, and he says Ada Horsted was still alive in 1939 because she was round there house when war was declared and they were all listening to the radio (that may be a useless piece of info), he says my nan Elizabeth had a brother Jim (prob James), and sisters ginny (don't know what that would be short for) and a sister cissy (again dont know what thats short for) . Dunno if this helps? |
