Hi all helpers. I now have Alfred William Simmonds (1875) marriage certificate, which shows his parents as Daniel and Martha. Yet all official documents show him as William. Which has caused me a lot of confusion. This seems to be the case with one or two others in his family that dropped their first names! Other documents show that there was a close relationship with Elizabeth Harriet and Catherine Margaret and their respective families in their twilight years. |

If you were to purchase this marriage certificate, then you could be sure that this was your "Annie" |

Many thanks again Brenda It looks like I have information for all of Daniel & Martha's children. There is one mystery that we (my sister and I) have still to find. That is, information of a "Nancy" who we remember as much as Elizabeth and William at around the same age in their 'twylight years'. We assumed that she was a child of D & M's family, but then thought she might have married into the family, but with all the information that you, Barb and others have so kindly found for me, I have not seen reference to a "Nancy" anywhere! |

Thanks Brenda, that is food for thought regarding Nancy/Anne. I have sent an email to another GR member regarding this family. |
