When first putting things on the TTF boards I never realised that you had to keep clicking on your page to see if you had any answers. Perhaps this is what is happening to newbies! If they have the page up on their pc and think that any replies are going to come up automaticly they are mistaken. You either have to click on the page at the bottom of the page or go back to your thread through the yellow box as Ann explained earlier on this thread. |

I cant see any yellow box on my page!!!! how simple would that be if I could...I trawl through loads of questions before I get to the one I wrote ...I get way layed cos other requests are interesting.....like many others I would like to say thanks you all for the help you have given in the past to me. |

there is a yellow box on the left - a man in it with a black top hat on - it says "My Threads", Advanced Search, my bookmarks, and bookmark this. Use "bookmark this" if you see something that you would like to refer back to, but it is something you are not adding to. |

Whilst I agree wholeheartedly with you all in what you have said on this subject, can I please mention another side to this coin, or bugbear, without getting my head bitten off, as I am sticking my neck out here. |

fair enough Julia - people should not offer to do research if they are not going to live up to their promise - I really am not much good at it myself, drop lucky on the Mormon LDS site now and again, but just love doing it!!! |

Thanks Anne, have encountered your good works on here. My subject is not easy to put into words. without seeming ungrateful. But I meant it in the best possible way |

I'm not always good believe me - I posted a really crass posting on a thread last night thinking I was on a thread looking for ancient rellies - they were in fact living - I have apologised by pm and on the thread, but nothing will stop me feeling absolutely rotten today |

had a good laugh on here today - needed one - someone posted looking for a relative - from Rootsuk they said - I thought to myself, that's a strange place, probably in New Zealand. Turns out they meant Roots UK - did feel such a pillock!!! |

I agree with Jacqueline on this one, I have posted a few times here looking for help but have found it difficult to relocate the post again, maybe I'm just stupid. |
