Hi Lindsey, sorry about the lack of info (newbie). He was born in 1862 in Kent. Edith Annie Smith was born in 1896 in Nottingham. I cant find any marriage info, but i managed to find his death certificate just cannot find any birth info. On his death cert it says Name and surname: Lawrence Long otherwise Frederick Lawrence. |

Is this him in 1901? If so, it says he was born in Bicester, Oxon. |

Hi Sam,`I`ve never seen this before. This is a possibility. There is big difference with DOB but mine could be wrong. Haent found him on anything just death cert by using the date from my fathers army book when he got special leave in 1943. |

Sorry, I should have read your thread properly. You say that your father got special leave in 1943, can I assume that was for the funeral ? |
