He was born at home: 337 Ladbroke grove, sub-district of Kensington north. I believe most of the children were born around there. Edith became pregnant at 16. |

Seham, my father Harry Kenneth Lawrence was born on 5 Nov 1923. He had three brothers Wilfred, Albert, Les, Eddie and a sister but cant remember her name. My Father was the youngest. |

If you want to order a birth cert you can do it on line GRO, take the details and a credit card and follow the instructions, make sure you get every detail right, and it might arrive in a week. |

Sorry, I should have read your thread properly. You say that your father got special leave in 1943, can I assume that was for the funeral ? |
