I am trying to find the parents of Charlotte Scotland, born c. 1813 in Clackmannanshire, Scotland. She married Andrew Paterson in 1835, and after his death married John Fife in 1853. She died in Clackmannan in 1886.

Her parents should be on her Death Certificate,See Scotlandspeople

Her Bapts,does not appear on the IGI for Clackmannan,Clackmannanshire,so death Certificate it has to be.

Charlottes death is registered on 22 March 1886 but where the parents should appear all it has is father-----------Scotland sailor she was 71 on the death cert The death cert only has her as being the widow of J Fyfe no mention of first husband and it is registered by a William McCulloch son in law

Allan going by the age on death cert the birth would have been around 1805 there is a birth but not in the area that you are looking at but the parents of Charlotte have the same names as children are you sure that she was born in Clackmannanshire

I know this doesn't help find Charlotte's dob but thought I would just mention the following:

WILLIAM MCCULLOCH who was the informant of Charlotte's death in 1886, noted as her son-in-law, was the husband of Charlotte Scotland & Andrew Paterson's daughter, Margaret b. 1836 Clackmannan(sp)
Just for info, Margaret Paterson & William McCulloch married 15/1/1855 Clackmannan (sp)

Her first husband Andrew Patterson should have been on death Certificate.I think you have a wrong second marriage.

Can't find her in the 1871 Scottish Census .This came up which seems interesting as Scotlandspeople never came up with a death for a Charlotte Jess in Clackmannanshire
