Find Ancestors

My father's birth certificate has William Henry Patrick and Dorothy Patrick (formerly Preece) registered as his parents on his birth certificate (Malvern - 1922). Can anyone find marital proof of their union please?

Can't find marriage info for you,was Dorothy ,Dorothy Emily Sybel Preece born 1905 Upton on Severn worcestershire.
I noticed William Henry registered in Upton 1922.

If she was underage maybe they just lived together.

Thanks Jan. Not to my knowledge. Dad grew up believing he was adopted. He was the informant on his mother's death cert... Mary Jane Usher (formerly Patrick). Unless proven otherwise, I am of the belief that she was the sister of my dad's natural father.

Thank you FBG... I already have this certificate. The names listed are.... William Henry Usher (no mention of Patrick) and Mary Jane Patrick. Yes, the marriage is registered in Upton and yes, I do believe it is a different William Henry!!!

Sorry FBG... missed your earlier question. Mary Jane Usher was 70 when she died in Ronkswood Hospital, Worcester, 14th June 1962. On the marriage certificate she is stated as 45 years of age - spinster - father not listed. Interestingly her father is not listed on her birth cert either (Mary Jane Patrick - St. John's , Worcester - 4th August 1891).
