WDYTYA Live Requests

Hi everyone,

It's that time of year again. The Who Do You Think You Are? Live show starts tomorrow and continues all weekend. As some of you may remember, last year we posted live requests from people attending the show to showcase the amazing help available from our members. We would like to do the same this year.

We have created this new board so that you can easily see which requests are coming in from the show, you will be able to see this board tomorrow. Any member who offers help or advice on this board will be offered a 1 month extension to their membership as a thank you for your help.

We will be sending every person who posts a question home with an instruction sheet on how to find their posts again, and how to ask further questions. we hope this will encourage more people to realise the value of the boards.

How are the replies going to get posted to the right enquiry

Suppose the reply will have to C & P to the question ........... would that work

................. unless a responder always C&Ps the question, and answers all in the same post.

the people asking questions at WDYTYA may have a hard time working their way through this Board to find their question!

It will be interesting to see how it works this year.

LK, I like that idea too..........not just because it is hoped that more people will find out how brilliant the help on the board can be, but because it should save me some work if people are advised on how to respond to help given them. :-D ;-)

Why is the link to this board not shown on General Chat and Genealogy Chat Boards ?

Can I ask the team ( and warn helpers!) to check whether enquiries have been made by posters before.

I wasted a lot of time today searching records only to discover that a huge amount of work had already been done on the search by helpers on the FA board several years ago
