My understanding has always been that it is the Scottish government office that basically controls the fact that information can only be seen in full on Scotland's People ............... and probably also controls how many other sites (and which sites) may carry bits and pieces. |

Hi Mary, I am sorry but we don't have Scottish records on the site at the moment. Have you tried 'search trees' though? If you enter the name of your relative you'll be able to see if we have any matches for you and these will include matches for Scotland. It might be better if you just enter the name rather than add a location as members do add locations in different ways. For example, someone might just add Scotland, whereas someone else might simply add Edinburgh. |

I have been with this sight for a couple of years at the beginning I got some help and the rest followed with the help from contacts,why is it called genes reunited when trying to trace ancestors from Scotland it not possible to do so as yuo don't seem to hold many Scottish records.I seemto be waisting my money. You should adverise that it is not for us. Please can youtell me why this is? :-( |
