That is on my to do list this evening. I Have been collating all the information to print out as I find pen and paper easiest.

I have tried using the FreeMBD and the GRO but I'm not a computer type of person and find it very challenging. My children agree I'm a dinosaur when it comes to computers.

It must be a mistake by V E Seagrove, who wrote it in the parish record.

Or maybe Annie didn't remember or know her father's name, if he died when she was a baby.
Henry Bland Lammas apparently died at some point between 1877 and 1891, as her mother Ann(ie) said she was a widow in 1891.
The workhouse record for Ann in 1881 states that she was married, so Henry may or may not have been alive at that time.

As for the occupation - in 1871 Henry was a dock labourer.

Nowhere on any census on FMP is there a record of a Charles Lammas, gun maker

It is confusing, though, because the daughter Ann Rebecca Lammas's marriage cert says her father was Charles Lammas, a gun maker:

The info abou Henry which toni has posted is duplicate of my post at 11.42

She has not taken note of the info about Alice’s father on her baptism and marriage record.

The ‘school’ info is in my post at 13.16. They were placed there for a period of time as the morther was in the infirmary

At other times they (and probably the mother) were in the workhouse (record for Alice posted earlier)

Ann Ferry is the mother of Alice May Lammas who married John Johnson - and of Ann who married William Benn.

Can't see Benjamin's birth.
He was born 8/5/1867, according to his baptism - but not baptised until 1908, as Benjamin Charles Lammas.
However, censuses and school records have him born 1865.
Obviously born before Henry & Ann's marriage.
