This looks like his medal card from Findmypast, but there are no service records listed so unfortunately his must have been amonst the 70% of WW1 records that were destroyed in a fire in WW2. :- |

Granddad Albert G C Sharp served in Calcutta in WW1 won a cup for All India Military Boxing Tournament as a Heavy Weight in Calcutta in 1917 as Pte AG Sharp 1/10 Battalion Middlesex Regiment. Has anyone ever found any records of soldiers who served in Calcutta in WW1. |
