Some of Daisy’s s siblings may well have served in the armed forces in WW 2 but as very few records have been released Fold 3 won’t help. But if she wants to look for the children and grandchildren of Daisy’s Aunts & Uncles then it may be of some use once Eleni has their names.

Fold3 is a distraction as it won't help you in your quest for living relatives, which is what this thread is about, one assumes, in view of its being posted on this board.

Fold 3 is a separate part of Ancestry that must be paid for. It now holds most of their service records. Ancestry took over Forces War Records website.

I can’t see ANY mention on here of Jessie Day being in anyone’s tree. I said that some of the names in your thread are in trees - try inputting all of them in turn

No GR member has Jessie in their tree on GR, which is why nothing comes up on "Search all member trees".

The only mentions of Jessie in posts on this thread have come from Ancestry, Fold3, and the 1921 census on FindMyPast.

There are records of her on GR, under "Search all records" - but other sites are much better for records.

Here's her birth from GRO:

DAY, JESSIE ADA mmn SPILLER
GRO Reference: 1912 D Quarter in SOUTHWARK Volume 01D Page 104

The next record of her is on her father's WW1 record, which Gwyn posted on 19 July at 23:01.

Next is the 1921 census, which ErikaH posted on 20 July at 11:24.

Nancy Day's father is definitely NOT the same Henry Charles Day.
Her father was still alive in 1921.

In 1921 census:

Nancy, Day
1912
Birthplace: St Pancras, London, England
Residence: St Pancras
St Pancras
London, Middlesex

With Henry Charles Day 1885 (born St Pancras), Florence Day 1891 (Plumstead, father John per 1901 census), and Ann Brian Day 1845.

DAY, NANCY mmn ASHTON
GRO Reference: 1912 D Quarter in ST.PANCRAS Volume 01B Page 54

I don't see a marriage for the parents.

In 1911, "Henery" Charles, cabinet maker, is with his mother Ann Bryant Day and father George Gwynn Day in St Pancras.

He was in the RAF during WW1.
He died in Hampstead in 1948.
