Hi , wondering if anyone can help with my search , My Grandmother was Irene Lillian Hawkins b 1923 West Brom Stafffordshire Daughter of Harry Hawkins and Lillian Gertrude York b 1899 Smethwick Staffordshire d 1970 West Midlands ,We know that my Grandmother married Thomas Houston around the early 1940,s and moved to Scotland where she lived till her death in 1993 ,We also know that her mother Lillian remarried in 1952 to Frederick J Binley , knowing so little about my grans family we would so like to find out more information ie what happened to her father Harry Hawkins, We were also told Irene might have had a sister Beryl Hawkins b West Brom 1928 who married Frederick J Gibbs 1950 Birmingham , Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Followed up with all information that was kindly sent to me, the problem we are having is regarding Harry Hawkins death year, we do know that he married twice first marriage Lillan Gertrude York in 1920 Kings Norton, 2nd marriage Lily Rollins 1950 Birmingham, but the problem we are having is that most trees that we have looked at are showing Harry Hawkins who married Lillan Gertrude York show his death in 1937 Cheadle. I find this strange as information past onto me from my mother was that she clearly remembered her nana Rollins Harry Hawkins second wife. We are thinking that death record for the Harry Hawkins 1937 Cheadle is not the Harry Hawkins that married Lillan Gertrude York, but the problem we are having is that we cant seem to find a death record for Harry Hawkins past 1950 the year he married Lily Rollins

The Harry who died in 1937 was aged 40: how does that tie with your Harry age

Plus would have thought if he died 1937 then Lilly would have remarried before the 50.s

This could be Harry in1939
