Yes he was aware and only know this through because I have traced my birth mother who does not wish to meet me. She kindly sent me info of my fathers name and details on how kind a person he was and helped pay towards her stay at Beechwood.

They met in a company and he worked extra hours to afford helping her.

No he was not married to my birth mother. He met an Angela and this is the connection with me, they knew each other for 18 months. I don’t know who he went onto marry.

Background was he was a cockney and lived in kings Cross Member of the Print Union He did extra shifts on the newspaper’s
He loved opera and had a good singing voice Also described as pleasant and well liked .Lawrence went by the name Laurie.
