Looking for my birth father who was born in 1934. Born in London. My birth name was Christine and have connections with Beechwood, Putney mother and baby home, born in 1957.

Was he married to mum?

No he was not married to my birth mother. He met an Angela and this is the connection with me, they knew each other for 18 months. I don’t know who he went onto marry.

Lawrence was 23years old when he met my mother. 5’9 tall. Fair hair ,Blue eyes.working in a publishing company is where they met. He was a packer there.
Background was he was a cockney and lived in kings Cross Member of the Print Union He did extra shifts on the newspaper’s
He loved opera and had a good singing voice Also described as pleasant and well liked .Lawrence went by the name Laurie.
Could you let me know if the above describes the same Lawrence ?

Yes he was aware and only know this through because I have traced my birth mother who does not wish to meet me. She kindly sent me info of my fathers name and details on how kind a person he was and helped pay towards her stay at Beechwood.

They met in a company and he worked extra hours to afford helping her.

So as he was 23 when you were born you can estimate his birth year

Have you done a Dna ,that may find some family connection

Look in members trees to see if anyone has any of his family listed

You can then try to make contact by sending a message through the find out more bocce
