Sorry yes I understand now. That seems more likely then doesn’t it. Aww what a shame I was hoping that Rhiannon would still be alive. Do I need to upgrade to be able to get links and things to link to her? Like children she may of had? I think Ernest that she married could be my fathers birth father as he was never mentioned the paper work says he was a married man and was older than Rhiannon and Ernest who Rhiannon marries in 1971 is a lot older than her... possibility?! I’ve tried searching for children but there are a lot of children that have the same surname ????

Well she may have been 27 in 1962 but was still to have a blrthday the same year

The other one I posted didn't marry til 1971 and died in 1985

She was born to mmn Edwards too

I’ve gone through the adoption paperwork. Her name in 1962 was still edwards as that’s the surname given on the paperwork in 1962. She was 27 when she gave birth to my dad in March 1962. The paper says that Rhiannon was born out of wedlock and only lived with her mother and brother and that my father wasn’t her only child to have been adopted. My dad also recalls his birth mother contacted the adoption agency to ask for contact with him when he was 16 or 18 so this puts her still alive in 1978-80 time. His birth father was a married man who was 45 years old but she hasn’t put his name. I only gathered she was from Bala as she’s the only Rhiannon born in 1935

I ask because the following birth registrations all look to be the same Rhiannon who then dies.

Bala became Merioneth E district in October 1935.

My father was told that once she had given birth to him she moved back in with her mum dad and brother on their farm. Presumably wales. My dad was born March 1962. She was 27 at this time. My dads father was a married man that’s why he was given up for adoption, apparently my dad wasn’t her only child to be adopted . Or so we are lead to believe. She did try to contact my father when he was 16 but he had his ‘mum and dad’ then. It’s only since his ‘sister’ passing that he has become interested in where he’s come from. I do hope I can find them for him. I’ve messaged them with Rhiannon on their trees. Fingers crossed.

Yes, do search for the other names. Although Edwards is quite common, some of your potential family have more uncommon ones.

Although it’s debatable if the Rhiannon who gave birth in Chester is the same person who married in Chelsea, it could conceivably happen.
Unmarried mothers were often ‘sent away’ to have their child out of area.

Christopher’s birth was registered sometime in the months Jan, Feb or Mar. Obviously you know the exact date.
The Chelsea marriage took place during July, Aug or Sept.
There’s enough time to go back to the area where she was living & marry someone she was already courting. He might not have been Christopher’s biological father.

Wow thank you so much for all this help. This is amazing. I’ll do that now. Do you think I should search for siblings too? Maybe see if they married and do a Facebook search?

Click on that.
Select Search all member trees
On the next page, enter Rhiannon Edwards 1935. Don’t bother with a place of birth.

There are 4 results, 3 of which seem to be the same person with different accounts. They may have taken out 3 seperate ‘free’ trials. She has the birth as Llandudno so it could be a different Rhiannon or she’s just guessed. ‘Your’ Rhiannon is the only birth registered anywhere in 1935.
