Looking for descendants of Lily Agnes Clelland (born Hammersmith 1909) and Bernard Keirnen. They married in the Hampstead area in 1934. I am waiting for the certificates and will re-post if these reveal additional information. |

There don't appear to be any Keirnen/ Clelland births in England and Wales after the marriage? Might they have emigrated? |

Thank you Nyx and PrickyHolly. It's descendants of this couple I am looking for, not ancestors. (What you have posted is accurate.) |

I thought of emigration, Nyx, as here are precedents such as a Clelland half brother in Australia. I could not find any entries in the Migration collection on findmypast but I do think it's a real possibility. I would guess soon after 1934 as I can find no children and they appear to be absent from the 1939 Register. |

I realise it's descendants Martyn, but sometimes it helps to work backwards to work forwards :-) Just in case the missing people can be found with parents or siblings etc. |

Just on an offchance they went to Scotland after 1938 and going on names. I realise they are all different areas, but might be worth a look once you have the cert? |

These burial transcriptions are very useful, Nyx and AustinQ, and I will look into them after I have seen the MC I am waiting for. |

Lily's 1947 marriage cert will tell you if she was widowed or divorced from Bernard. |
