for info, this is likely Estella in the 1891 Canadian census
Name: Stella Odowd Gender: Female Marital Status: Single Age: 2 Birth Year: abt 1889 Birthplace: Quebec Relation to Head-of-house: Daughter Religion: Roman Catholic French Canadian: No Father's name: Joseph Odowd Father's Birth Place: Quebec Mother's name: Lizzie Odowd Mother's Birth Place: Ireland Province: Quebec District Number: 172 District: Montréal Centre Subdistrict: Ste Marie Ward
Joseph Odowd 30 - carpenter Lizzie Odowd 27 Any Odowd 7 Lenie Odowd 6 (looks like Lessie) Stella Odowd 2
I think this Joseph in 1911 is a cabinetmaker so seems to be the same couple
Name: Joseph Odowd Gender: Male Marital Status: Married Age: 48 Birth Date: Dec 1862 Birth Place: Quebec Relation to Head of House: Head Race or Tribe: Irish Province: Quebec District: Hochelaga District Number: 160 Sub-district: 14 - Montréal Sub-District Number: 14 Place of Habitation: 540a St Patrick
Joseph Odowd 48 Elisabeth Odowd 42
and in 1901 per Ancestry (correct info from image shown below)
Name: Joseph Ododd Gender: Male Marital Status: Widowed Age: 36 Birth Day & Month: 12 Dec Birth Year: 1864 Birthplace: Qc Relation to Head of House: Chef (Head) Racial or Tribal Origin: Irish Nationality: Canadien (Canadian) Religion: Roman Catholic Occupation: Charpentier Province: Quebec District: Montréal (city/cité) District Number: 175 Sub-district: Montréal (City/Cité) Saint-Antoine (Ward/Quartier) Sub-District Number: A-68
Joseph Ododd 36 Armey Ododd 17 - Anney - 28 Aug 18?? Irasea Ododd 14 - ? Orasea? - 7 Mar 1887 Stilla Ododd 10 - Stella - 7 Aug 1891
Name: Helen Ann Odowd Event: Baptême (Baptism) Baptism Year: 1883 Baptism Location: Montréal, Québec (Quebec) Place of Worship or Institution: St-Paul father Joseph, cabinetmaker mother Elizabeth O'Daly
actually, Ancestry has it transcribed twice, and the correct parish is Sainte Anne.
Name: Joseph Odowd Spouse: Elizabeth Daly Event: Mariage (Marriage) Marriage Year: 1881 Marriage Location: Montréal, Québec (Quebec) Religion: Church of England Place of Worship or Institution: Saint Patrick
Can't identify any other records for the two sisters, or any further record for Stella/Estella, so unfortunately that ends up not helping very much ...

I think Lenie / Lessie in 1891 is Tessie, so probably Orasea in 1901 is Teresa.
Mary Theresa Odoud in the Quebec, Canada, Vital and Church Records (Drouin Collection), 1621-1968 Name: Mary Theresa Odoud Event: Baptême (Baptism) Baptism Year: 1885 Baptism Location: Montréal, Québec (Quebec) Religion: Church of England Place of Worship or Institution: Saint Anthony of Padua
The baptism took place on 8th March. The handwriting on the original is hard to decipher, but it does say that she was the daughter of Joseph O Dowd, carpenter, and Elizabeth Duley [ maybe mis-spelling of Dooley ? EDIT: No, I see Daley in JC's post above]. The godfather was Thomas Ryan, "the child's uncle". The godmother was Ellen Duley, wife of Thomas Ryan, "the child's aunt". "This act has been read to the father."

Ancestry suggests this is her below, but it may just be one of Ancestry's random guesses:

Teresa, now why didn't I think of that. :-D
Here we are:
Name: Janes Sally Spouse: Hansa Odowd Event: Mariage (Marriage) Marriage Year: 1912 Marriage Location: Montréal, Québec (Quebec) Place of Worship or Institution: St-Michel-Archange (rue St-Viateur)
it definitely says Teresa O' Dowd, daugher of Joseph O'Dowd and the late Elizabeth Daly. James was the widower of Helen Traynor.
So we got somewhere after all!

The Teresa you identified on the voters list was a daughter.
In 1953 they were in Outremont (part of Montreal)
James retired Tessie Kathleen teacher Rita stenographer Teresa clerk
Their surname seems to get transcribed as SALLLE, and I can't figure out how they've transcribed Tessie ...

Teresa's daughter Rita was baptised 1921, but I won't post the full record in case she's still alive.
Middle names Ellen Erica (Ancestry's transcription says Erice, but I think it looks like Erica). Parents James Sallie, master-cutler (or maybe master cutter, as he was a mason) and Teresa O'Dowd. Godparents: Patrick McMollon [? his signature looks more like McMorarna] and his wife Ellen Gorey.
A son of Teresa & James - Patrick, - was buried in 1925. The record's too blurred to make out any more details:
Patrick Sallie in the Quebec, Canada, Vital and Church Records (Drouin Collection), 1621-1968 Name: Patrick Sallie Event: Enterrement (Burial) Burial Year: 1925 Burial Location: Montréal, Québec (Quebec) Place of Worship or Institution: Basilique Notre-Dame

This is the birth of a daughter of James Sallie and Ellen Trainor, his first wife, who must have died about the same time, if James and Teresa married in 1912. "Sponsors" were James Doherty and Mary Theresa O'Dowd.
Ellen Sallie in the Quebec, Canada, Vital and Church Records (Drouin Collection), 1621-1968 Name: Ellen Sallie Event: Baptême (Baptism) Baptism Year: 1911 Baptism Location: Montréal, Québec (Quebec) Place of Worship or Institution: Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Conseil
and the child's death:
Helen Sallie in the Quebec, Canada, Vital and Church Records (Drouin Collection), 1621-1968 Name: Helen Sallie Event: Enterrement (Burial) Burial Year: 1911 Burial Location: Montréal, Québec (Quebec) Place of Worship or Institution: Basilique Notre-Dame

Other children of James & Teresa were:
James , baptised 1915 Mary baptised 1919 Elizabeth Ruth , baptised 1913 - she's the daughter who married an Aldrich:
Ruth E Aldrich in the California, Death Index, 1940-1997 Name: Ruth E Aldrich Social Security #: 554134678 Gender: Female Birth Date: 4 Sep 1912 Birth Place: Canada Death Date: 19 Oct 1976 Death Place: Fresno
Marriage of the son James:
James Sallie in the Quebec, Canada, Vital and Church Records (Drouin Collection), 1621-1968 Name: James Sallie Spouse: Eva Mary Barry Event: Mariage (Marriage) Marriage Year: 1941 Marriage Location: Montréal, Québec (Quebec) Place of Worship or Institution: St-Michel-Archange (rue St-Viateur)
Mrs J Sallie (presumably Eva) and Miss Teresa Sallie (presumably a daughter) were still living in Montreal in 1968, per ER. The daughter worked for IBM. EDIT: Well, maybe not - they could be Teresa and her daughter Teresa.

This looks like (possibly) the obituary of Rita, Estella's niece, with names of her children and grand-children. EDIT: I'm not sure if it means Sallie was this lady's maiden surname, in which case she's probably the right person, or a middle name by which she was known, in which case she probably isn't.
You could try contacting the funeral directors. Although her funeral was in 2002, they may still have records of contact details for relatives.

Also -
www.canada411.ca shows the address and phone number for a Michael Hurst in Laval - quite possibly this Rita's son.

Yes, the '(Sallie)' indicates her birth surname, and she is then referred to by that name because women in Quebec have always retained their birth names for some purposes and now do by law.
(She is entirely incorrectly called 'Mrs Sallie', but they do that a lot in Quebec and France where 'Mme' (Madame) is now just used as the equivalent of 'Monsieur', so they just incorrectly call all women 'Mrs' in English.)
(You can tell the obituary was written by a francophone employee of the funeral home: ' Also survived by HIS grandchildren'!)
The 1921 census for that family (to remind myself! - Tessie is the sister of Stella/Estella O'Dowd Donnelly)
Name: Jas Sallie Gender: Male Marital Status: Married Age: 0 Birth Year: abt 1921 Birth Place: Scotland Relation to Head of House: Head Spouse's Name: Thresa Sallie Father Birth Place: Scotland Mother Birth Place: Quebec Year of Immigration: 1906 Racial or Tribal Origin: French Province or Territory: Quebec District: Montreal (Laurier-Outremont) District Number: 175 Sub-district: Laurier Ward, Montreal (City) Sub-District Number: 1 City, Town or Village: Montreal Street or Township: 34 De Gaspe Occupation: Marble Cutter Neighbors: View others on page Household Members: Name Age Jas Sallie Thresa Sallie Katheline Sallie Jas Sallie Ruth Sallie Gerald Sallie Thresa Sallie Rita Sallie Annie Hovid
Unfortunately no ages are entered - it looks like ng, maybe 'not given'.
but Kathaline is shown as born in Scotland, so perhaps a daughter of the first marriage.
Annie Hovid is a sister-in-law, shown as single, and it actually seems to be HOWD, so I would guess that she is Helen Ann O'Dowd.
