Susan - despite your long membership, you may not have realised that its against the sites T&C to post your contact details on an open board. Could you please edit your opening post to remove your email address? |

There doesn't seem to be a death for a 27 year old John Joseph Fitzgerald on the 1916-2007 GRO index. There's over 1,400 if his death was registered as John J Fitzgerald. |

Do you know if either of these are your Father, or was he born in Ireland? |

Martin was born in 1937 in Susan's tree. |

Have you found the family in the 1939 census, just for confirmation of Martin's age? |

Possible marriage of brother Martin to Grace in 1953, also at Paddington. |

Grace and Martin are showing on the ER in 1953 in Carlton, so he must have been born before 1932? |

As Martin P does not show on the ER until 1953, then he is very likely born around 1932, or was not living in London before then. |

Susan has sent me a pm saying that her Father was born in London to Irish parents, and had other siblings besides Martin. |

This is just a possible- needs a little more looking into, but I'll post just in case. I was wondering if the boys were evacuated elsewhere in 1939 or possibly in Ireland?- but saw this: |
