I was wondering if thses same newspaper would have a notice for the passing of my grandfather in the poorhouse at Broadmoor ? Where would I be able to get copies of these newspaper articles as I did look on this site but can not find anything. |

'The Poorhouse at Broadmoor' could have refered to a cottage hospital. Many Workhouses had been converted to by then. The older generation still refered to them as the Poor House or Work House because of the remembered stigma. |

Yes my grandfather James Coombes died in 1940 aged 55 . |
