Find Living Relatives

Hi everyone, been away from GR for quite a while so hi to old and new folk. You have found most of my living relatives but there is one still outstanding. Robert Matthews. Parents are my Aunt Elsie and husband Robert Matthews. Robert junior I believe was last known to live in Benchill, Wythenshawe, Manchester. He would be about 75-80 yrs old now. Going by an old thread of yours, Elsie's surname was Smith. Are you sure the surname isn't Matthew?

My apologies for the oversight. Her name was Elsie Smith, husband Robert was a Scot. They probably married around 1932-4 as she was 2 years younger than Mum who married in 1931. Last known address as far as I remember was in Worthington Street Old Trafford Manchester.

Can you confirm whether the name was Matthew? Did they have more than one child?

it seems odd that Dave would be looking for one child of that marriage when there were apparently five children

Robert was the 2nd of 5 children, Jean[deceased] Robert, Elsie[deceased] Audrey, David.

Don't know where my last message went, still getting back into the swing of things, so I'll post it again. In response to Rose's Q about looking for 1 child. I have found the other 4. It seems we are still a dysfunctional family but I have had some replies.
Robert C Matthew married to Gwyneth sounds right as he was/is married to a Gwyneth and as one of our grandfathers was called Charles then the C may well be significant. Thanks for all your efforts. D.
