Above married in 1941 and I am trying to trace any children that they had and any descendants that are alive. They married in Guildford,Surrey.
Leonard was born 1899 in West Ham, Lilian in 1926 Southwark.

EDIT: A tree on ancestry has their marriage certicate- ages were Leonard 46 (Father George), Lilian 43 (father Tom Taylor Walton).

Marriage cert says Leonard was formerly husabnd of Catherine Lucy MacDougall but had obtained divorce.

Leonard's previous marriage to Catherine L Macdougall was registered Dennistoun Glasgow in 1918

Yvonne- Leonard was listed as 46 on his marriage to Lilian in 1941. But I don't think Brian is really researching this marriage- once he sees the age of Lilian on the marriage certificate he'll hopefully get back to us.

Had a PM from Brian, Lilian is a sister he only learnt about recently Looking for a possible birth for him it seems the 1926 Lilian could be the sister and he has tied that up with th 1941 marriage
if it is the earlier Lilian then there's a twenty plus year gap between them !

I gone back and pointed that out to him but he hasnt come back to say Yea or Nay

The girl may not even have kept the name Walton - if the poster didn't know about her, he has no way of knowing what name she used when she married

How did he find out about her?

What prompted him to latch on to the 1926 birth?

Hi Everyone, Sorry that I have not replied to all of your messages. I have damaged my right hand wrist badly and am unable to type(my Wife is doing this for me).A lot of info has come in and will take a while to absorb and dissect. It appears that the Lilian is the one born 1926 and I was misled in thinking she married Leonard. I have a more complete tree in Ancestry given to me every year by a relative so have not pursued Friends very much. My Parents were John William Walton born 1903 Southwark, Louise Austin born 1904 Southwark. My Sister Louise Rose born 1923 Southwark and John born and died 1924 Southwark. My parents moved to Carshalton,Surrey in 1933 when I was born in Carshalton not Epsom as suggested.

Until and unless you get a copy of her birth cert, you can't know who Lilian's parents were.

Take note that she was the middle one of FIVE born in St Olave district, while your siblings were being born elsewhere
