These are long lost cousins on my mother's side. Norman was in the Merchant Navy I believe but I don't recall anything else as for some reason unknown to me my mother and her sister Eva stopped contacting each other. Therefore, I also lost contact with these cousins some 55 to 60 years ago as best I remember. They probably lived in Sheffield as their mother (my grandmother) lived in Sheffield on Leppings Lane, Hillsborough. My mother and all her siblings are now deceased and my cousins from other aunt and uncles have also lost touch so I have nobody to obtain further information from. If it helps, my mother's other siblings were Walter, Frank, Connie and mother was Joyce, who moved to live in Rotherham then, after my father's death, Ripon where she lived until her death. |

If Norman and Edith are your cousins, your grandmother can't possibly have been their mother.......... |

Can't see births for Norman and/or Edith matching the marriage above, so I'm calling time on this until Paul provides some answers. |

I have answered most of the above by clicking on your names and providing my answer/comment so I hope they have been received. |

Paul it is really much better to answer on the thread ( assuming that there are no privacy issues re living people etc) that way you get more people helping who may just find some info that others can't ( because they have access to other sites for instance). Also not all helpers want to deal with individual messages as they may only have limited time to spend helping. :-) |

Thanks for your advice rambling rose. I am new to using this part of the GRU service so didn't realise. Also, marking as answered was thought by me to indicate that I had answered, so Jacqueline I hope that placates you. |
