When you get the birth cert, let us know what it says, and we'll go from there.

You say you don't want to put wrong info on your tree, so the cert is ONLY way to be sure that you don't

Brian H Quine was NOT George's father, unless the boy was illegitimate. What info do you have to backup your statement that he was

Brian H Quine did not marry.

You can't get accurate info unless you obtain a copy of the birth cert

Have checked on Ancestry to see who the soldiers effects were left to.

Brian Howell Quine named his father Robert William Quine which suggests this isn't the correct Brian H Quine.
