Find Living Relatives

Can anyone help with a search for a living relative. I have researched all the possible avenues to find an Ethel Edgar born 1931 Blackburn Lancashire. Her cousin has also given me some information and we know Ethel's last known address in Darwen Lancashire. Her house was sold in 2001. I have searched the Electoral Rolls for Ethel but there are none living in Lancashire.
Ethel was an only child and I know that there is no other family relatives.
I have also searched the death records in case she passed away, and the record office has also searched Death records up to date.
I have also tried ringing local care homes for Ethel Edgar. but none of them have anyone of this name.
I would be very grateful If anyone has any suggestions on where I can go from here in the search for Ethel. She would be age 84 years old now.

If she has opted-out of the ER, I fear you will not be able to trace her.

Is Edgar her maiden name as not seeing that birth

The only Ethel Edgar birth that comes up is 1930 Tynemouth reg district

No, Edgar is her married name. Her maiden name is Almond, her mother's maiden name is Charnock.

Is her husband deceased?

The ER does not give any indication of marital status

Yes her husband passed away two years after their marriage in 1950. They had no children either

She doesn't appear anywhere not just lancashire so she must be opted out if you haven't found any other info for her

Yes, she has to have opted out I think. Maybe she is a care home or a residential flat.

Where did Archibold die as I'm not seeing a death for him in England or Wales.

Are you sure there wasn't a son born in 1951? There are very few Edgar/Almond births and there just happens to be one in Blackburn the year after she married.

There is no death for that boy on freebmd, and there is an entry on the ER for Darwen 2002-2008 for someone who COULD be him

To underline Rose's post, there is no record for her husband's name on FMP apart from the marriage
