I am trying to find my grandmother catherine kollo born as Catherine McManus in 1944 lived in Macclesfield married Michael kollo in 1968 had a son named Paul born in 1963 who is my dad who I would love to find any relative of above regards Chloe and sarah

There is a Paul who has a tree on here with Paul Kollo on it, click on search at top of page and 'search all trees' , you could then send a message ( if you haven't already done so of course). :-)

Sorry I misread your post, I realised after posting that it is Catherine's family you are looking for rather than Paul.

Where was Catherine born?

her surname when she married Michael was LEE

Michael re-married in 1991

To start to find out about Catherine's antecedents, you need a copy of her marriage cert

Do you have a copy of her MC? That ought to give the name of her father, if known.

There aren't too many 1944 births with no middle name, although some of them were in Ireland
Edit - the above post says she was married as Lee. You really do need a copy of the MC

Thank you for taking the time in replying this is a very confusing and complex case you are correct I am not looking for the where a bouts of Paul but his mother who he has had told us no info at all about and now my daughter is nearly 17 she wishes to find her this is what I know

Paul was born in 1963 as Paul Daniel lee in Oldham
Mum is catherine rosalind McManus born in dec 1944 in Salford mums name is Farrell
She married James Gordon lee in 1962
She married Michael kollo in 1968
Paul took the name of kollo thus took the name Paul kollo
Michael kollo remarried in 1991
However I cannot find anything else on her I believe she is in Macclesfield

I have emailed 2x people who have Paul kollo in their family tree to see if they any info but no reply

I am very new to this and have very little idea of what I am suppose to be looking for and my daughter is joking the navy and I would like to help

Catherine had a brother Thomas and a sister Patricia. Look for them on FreeBMD with the Mcmanus/Farrell surname combination.

Possible daughter for Patricia has a tree on here.

Does your dad's sister know anything about your grandmother?

Paul's sister was Michelle Pamela Lee, born in Heywood in 1966 (neither she nor Paul show on free bmd).

One little point, Sarah.

You need to remove the exact date of Paul's birth from your message.

Not allowed on the boards for living people, and, in any case, of no help in looking for his mother.

There is no record anywhere on FMP for Paul's mother other than what has already been discussed.

She is not on the ER as Kollo, and has not re-married in England or Wales.

The most likely marriage for Michelle took place in 1992
