I rang every Lenson I could find ... Luckily I hit Jodie the daughter of Anitas ex hubby Bob. She gave me his mobile so I rang him. He was still in contact so I told him I was researching the Cotterell family tree ... he passed on my details to Anita. In the meantime I thought about things and came clean with Jodie and told her all about me. However ... Anita emailed me soon after and I thought it was Jodie so replied did you get my long email about the adoption. Anita mailed back ... I think we have crossed wires this is Anita not Jodie please mail back I am holding my breath. So I sent an Email telling Anita who I was etc ... And she mailed back telling me how overjoyed she was and gave me her contact details ... I phoned straight away ... it was very emotional but what a fairytale ending !!!
I am over the moon !!!

So which of you is going to save their pennies for an overseas trip? As she has internet access, you could consider SKYPE plus a webcam conversation

I take it Jodie is one of the few Lenson's from Perth on Facebook....although FB is hit and miss these days whether you will get a reply or not...unless you are friends.

Jax ... terrific outcome ... Jodie was found on white pages and I left my email on her answerphone so she emailed me telling me she knew Anita ....

Just an update ... As you can see from my profile pic I did indeed go to Australia to meet my wonderful family. The pic is me with my Mum after 50 long years apart. I had the most amazing time and was welcomed with open arms. I met both my sisters and their lovely families. This has truly changed my life and reunited a family once again. Every heartache and tear shed was worth it a million times over.
Dreams can come true if you reach for the stars and never accept defeat. But above all I wanted once again to thank this fine community and the amazing people that helped my find my family. Keep up the good work all.

Yes, genes helpers are the best and most sincere and outcomes like this make their pleasure even more rewarding.

Anita must be so proud of you as you deserve. By the way - in 1970's we created havoc in Cornwall with Bridge over Trouble Water blasting it out so everyone went out and bought the LP - we wore out our first copy on Quad - had to get a second!
