I knew Izzy lived to a grand old age, she was quite a character riding her bike around the streets of Waterloo until well into the 1970's! She outlived my gran too.

Sadly there was no contact as far as I know. Before they were born my dad lived with their parents but I presume there were complications because he was passed to a neighbour(?) and he ended up being taken into care where they tracked down his mother. There was probably contact with my grandmother but never with us. They are probably the only 2 who possibly may have heard the story properly and may be of some help in tracing his father. All we have is a name.
