we have a lot of Deerys in our family. but on the irish side, there is a lot of name in your family the same as ours

You have brought up a lot of names included in my Irish tree, the name hugh and John are my grandfathers brothers, there is also a Catherine, I have as a second cousin, I know it is late but welcome to what I have in my tree, my grandfather was born Michael deery

did you follow the advice given to you by DetEcTive on 28 Aug. 2016, about contacting "Unknown"?

She isn't likely to see your posts here, as she won't be expecting any replies after such a long time.

You can try to contact her as DetEcTive advised. If she still has the same email address, GR will contact her, and she then may (or may not) be able to read and reply to your message.


If you've already tried that, but received no reply, there could be many possible reasons. Change of email address; illness or death; loss of interest in family tree research - to name but a few.
You could try again, but don't get your hopes up.

Nicola last posted on here in 2013 and didn't acknowledge your message four years ago, so is hardly likely to do so now.

Adding to such old threads is hardly ever worthwhile.
