I have just sent for my dads birth cert namely Henry john Brett, I have discovered there were two births recorded of the same name during 1911, both in London. I know his father had exactly the same name but don't know his mothers name. I did have his marriage date and added that as a ps on the form. Will the PRO be able to find the right Henry J B due to me dating his marriage? Or is there another way to trace which one is the correct Henry? |

The marriage info will be of no help in identifying the birth.......but the father's name MIGHT |

Amelia would have been old enough to get pregnant. It's not unknown for grandparents to bring the child up as their own. |

If you got the info about his father from your parents' marriage cert, bear in mind that it may not be 100% accurate. |
