Find Living Relatives

I am trying to find a person and know very little about them apart from a name although not sure on the spelling, his age roughly and the area he is living in !!!
I know this is all very vague there are reasons for this.

Can anyone point me in the right direction on how I could find him??
I don't want to put the details on here but will pm them if someone thinks they could help me.

Free search would bring up the same info except full details of address not given

How about facebook or the trees on here?

well yes but not 100% sure of the spelling of his name hence why the problem finding him, he was also in prison and came out earlier this year and all i know about his sentence is that it was a serious crime, I don't know the length of sentence. As you can see it is easier to find people from 100 years ago then now!!

Google search of his name and crime to see if a newspaper report pops up?

again tried that but don't know the crime.

He won't be on 192.com if he only got out this year.

Have you any address for him at all, however long ago? I am thinking you could check electoral register if so, in order to get correct spelling of his name.

all I know is in the Leeds area I can pm you his name as I would rather not put it on here.

Well, you can do, but apart from very early London electoral registers, you can only search by address not name, and this has to be done in person.
So I guess I am unable to help!
Have you absolutely nothing else?
If you know which prison it was - hence area - you might strike lucky with local papers even if you do not know what crime was committed.

couild try googling his name with the various spellings together with the

words criminal/remand/jailed/arrested etc and UK
you may be lucky and come across something

I would suggest you send a letter to him via the probation office in Leeds. They will be aware of him if he has committed a serious crime. It seems a more suitable way of searching for a recent ex-con than using Genes Reunited.
