Find Living Relatives

I am searching living relatives in Newcastle. They would be 1st cousins of my mum Agnes nee Rudge, married to Edmund Rennan, Norway. My mothers mum and dad where Mary Nicol Tait and Horace Charles Rudge.

Relatives I am searching for are Margaret and Winnie and I belive they also where born Tait.

If anyone has any information that could help me to make contact or any other information please contact me.

So - these would be Mary Nicol Tait's nieces? Children of her brother (s) if born Tait.
If you have no luck finding matches on here, you need to check out who her brothers were.

There is a Margaret birth in Newcastle in 1924, but others elsewhere also.

First of all thanks for all the feedback.

My grandad Horace Charles Rudge was born in London feb 7. 1897 and my grandmother Mary Nicol Tait in Dumfriesshire, Scotland nov 22 1899. They where married january 12. 1921 in Newcastle. Horace was registered as Harry Charles Rudge. Why they married in Newcastle I do not know, but my grandad was wounded in the WWI by Marne in France and came to Edinburgh
where he met Mary, and perhaps then moved down to Newcastle.

From the 1911 census I find Mary Nicol her father James who is a vidower at that time and Marys two sisters Margaret b. 1903 and Isabell b. 1894. There was also a sister by the name Jane.

Isabell died young. The living relatives in Newcastle Margaret and Winnie I do not know if their mother was Margaret or Jane. When it comes to Margaret and Winnie I have their surnames after marriage and I also have an old adress to them both. I have been searching for and trying to find a new adress, but so far no luck. I guess I can`t put their surnames on this board for privacy reasons.

The 1911 census that Reggie posted (which is also on the other thread that I gave the link to) says that Mary N was born in Newcastle. In fact all the family claim to be born in Newcastle - so why do you believe this is your Mary?

Do you know the author of that linked thread?

If Winnie was born in 1912 it is quite likely she has since died.
Her birth certificate will give an exact date of birth and who is her Mother.
As there are several possible births for Margaret, and a variety of marriages for both, you must have obtained marriage information from others. What other leads have they given you?
Yes, you can put their new surnames on here, just leave off the precise marriage details, just put place and year.

The author of the linked thread is my cousin Stefan. His mother was my aunt Ellen (Nellie) Rudge. He has also been searching for relatives of us living or lived in Newcastle.

Winnie married Bruce and Margaret married Gross. I have no information of when they married.

The information came from my mum. After she passed away I found the names and adr. in her notebook, but she did also tell me of her cousins in Newcastle.

Gross is the surname Margaret had after marriage and Winnie married to someone with the surname Bruce. I could put the old addresses on here if it is OK to do so.

I have had a closer look into albums from my mum and i find a photo of a young man and where she has written on the back of the photo "My cousin Horace Tait living in Newcastle". When I think of it I do remember her telling of him. I am pretty sure that he was Margaret and Winnies brother.

There are very few Horace Tait births.

The old addresses are not necessary..........just the name of the town/village.and the approx. year when they were applicable
